Walsh Votes Against The Middle Class

The House primarily worked on two bills this week and both were focused on adding angst to homeowners who find themselves in a bit of a pickle as a result of having mortgages that exceed the current value of their home.

H.R. 830 is the FHA Refinance Program Termination Act.  This legislation that Walsh voted "Yay" takes away funding to help struggling homeowners.

Over the course of the last two years, many steps have been taken to help struggling homeowner stay in their homes.  Despite the FHA Programs available to help with restructuring and refinancing, many homeowner have faced miles of "red-tape".  Yet this red-tape was not government red-tape but rather a created bureaucracy of the banking industry who really doesn't care about your personal situation.  Instead of working to ensure these programs get to work for the people, Walsh and company took the "easy button" approach and just axed the whole program.  The White House WILL veto this bill if it makes it to the President's desk.

H.R. 836 was voted for by Walsh which is the Emergency Mortgage Relief Termination Act.  Another tool for struggling homeowners that Walsh thinks is no good.

What is ironic about these actions by our Districts mis-Representative is that working class Americans will only use "foreclosure" as a last resort and will work feverishly and fret to avoid the stigma.  However if you know anything about Joe Walsh, you know he took the easy way and foreclosed on his 10th District Condo (primary residence) in 2008.  Walsh speaketh with forked-tongue.

While I was not a big fan of his predecessor, many of us miss her more and more each day.

How long til we can vote this clown out of office?

604 days (as of 3/13/10) to be exact. I think we should start working on a "halfway there" party.

ANSWERS TO THE FIRST FOUR COMMENTS:

1.) It only took you 57 days to notice he's a disgrace? Where have you been hiding for the last 56 days? Was your computer broken for that long?

2.) No one is missing Melissa Bean - especially the media.

3.) Elections are held every two years on the first Tuesday in even numbered years in November. That means the first Tuesday in November 2012. I hope this helps.

4.) You're not halfway there yet. You're only off by eight months. Please let me know where the party will be.

Today is day 71 since the 112th Congress was sworn into office and they have had 31 days in session.

So forty days of not being in session out of 71, that's a sweet deal in anyone's assessment! Think those 40 days would have helped them come up with a plan had they been in DC "working"?

Forty PAID days doing things other than figuring out how to avoid government shut down.

Instead, today there will be a vote on a "stop gap measure" that will cut $6 billion from our domestic spending to buy us three more weeks of an operating government in the U.S.

Now here is the kicker .. that vote will buy us 3 weeks and when they recess on Friday they will have yet another 2 weeks of not being in DC.

So $6 Billion cut for the American people and two weeks of vacation for our elected officials. Forget about Denmark there is a whole lot of rotten right here!!

I saw him at a Town Hall. This guy swaggers like a fake preacher while brazenly insulting fellow Americans. He talks about working together while spewing the most divisive language I have ever heard from a politician. Did this man ever actually hold a real job in the private sector? I am embarrassed to have this cretin as a Representative.

In my last post, I gave you the 4 points - here's more:

Walsh's Chief of Staff (Justin Roth), was a political hack and lobbyist for the Insurance and Bank lobby for many years. On January 5, 2011, Walsh started out as the poorest member of Congress - but has now raised almost $400,000 in the 1st Quarter of 2011. I wonder if Walsh ever explained any of this to his Tea Party followers in The Great Awakening, Barrington Tea Party, Palatine Tea Party, Northern Illinois Patriots, or the 9-12 Patriots. I'm guessing Walsh never mentioned it to his followers. Now you know why Justin Roth is Walsh's Chief of Staff.

Walsh's District Director (David Carlin), is another political hack. He already had at least one big political paycheck in DuPage County - and his connections to Pat Brady and Kirk Dillard made him valuable to Walsh. The Illinois Republican Party (IRP) Insiders think they now have instant credibility with all those Tea Party supporters through Walsh. Nothing could be further from the truth because the Tea Party Leaders are in the dark about the deal Walsh has cut with the IRP. Now you know why David Carlin is Walsh's District Director.

By the way, Walsh lent $28,500 - (supposedly his own money) to his campaign in 2010. You can verify this by looking at the FEC (Federal Election Commission) filings. So how did Walsh do that? Where did all that cash come from?

Walsh is broke. He wasn't even paying his bills. Walsh lost his expensive Evanston Condominium to Foreclosure just a year earlier. His highest ever income was once $35,000 for a single year. Walsh also has a few kids attending some very expensive Universities. So who's paying for that? Where is all this money coming from? Be prepared for more money stories from this clown.

One last item, if you look at any of his FEC filings, you will see what cash was raised, what bills were paid, and how much debt was still outstanding at the end of each Quarter. But if you flowchart the Walsh cash flow, it doesn't add up.

At the end of 2010, Walsh claimed he still had almost $400,000 in debts. And for the 1st Quarter of 2011, he raised almost $400,000 and spent about $100,000 including paying himself back on some personal loans to the campaign, but he also decided to skip out on almost all of the $400,000 in debt he had at the end of 2010. He is now disputing almost all of it.
